Here is a collection of odds and ends I'm using to make the mount for my Bosch "044" electric fuel pump. This is stuff I had just lying around the garage. A couple radiator hose clamps, a short piece of exhaust pipe that I cut down the middle and a piece of old inner tube for vibration dampening.

This is the lower half of a muffler clamp. I welded a couple small bolts onto it so it can be attached to a mounting plate.

Here's another shot of the plate after being installed. This plate wraps around the torque box and goes up towards the inner rocker panel, but not all the way to it. I didn't want to burn the paint on the bottom lip of the outer rocker. This is a street car that the owner just wants to enjoy. If ths were a race car, I would've extended the plate to the inner rocker panel and welded it along the seam.

You can see in this picture that I've welded the torque box where it goes up against the inner frame rail. Someone else already welded inside the torque box. You can see a big washer that they welded where the control arm bolt passes through.

In this photo you can see where I've started to weld the framerail where the lower torque box is located. I'll also add a reinforcing plate which will go over the top of this and also span the opening underneath the control arm. This plate will tie in with the outer part of the lower torque box. This will tie the inner and outer portions of the lower torque box together making it stronger than when it left the factory.

This is getting ugly!

As you can see, it's pretty bad under that plate. Someone cut away part of the torque box itself.

In this photo you can see the heavy metal plate that was once welded to the torque box. I knew something wasn't right when I first saw this. The drivers side didn't have a plate on there so I knew it had to be pretty ugly underneath here.

This is what the plates look like before going on the car. They have been shaped to fit over the lower torque box. They will slip into place. I will then weld them in. I sprayed them with Weld- Through primer so they won't rust once they are installed.

I welded up the torque boxes while i was underneath. I POR-15-d any areas that had rust. The rest i just left alone since it will be getting a mist coat of undercoating.

At one time i had my B&M shifter mounted to the floor. I have since removed it and am going to re- mount it a different way. I cut out the sheetmetal where i had the holes drilled for it and made some patch panels to replace the swiss cheese that was there. It's not too fancy looking since it'll be covered by the seat support that runs the full width of the floorpan. At least it'll keep water out of the interior if i happen to get caught in the rain. It'll also help to keep smoke and fumes out of the car as well.

This beast is sportin' 500 cubes of big block MOPAR. Charlie drives this to the strip and busts off mid 12's with it like it's nothing. He's not even hardly leaning on it! Look out if he decided to drive it like he hated it. It would absolutely fly!!!

Donathen Racing front bumper. This thing is very light. It's made of chrome moly and only weighs about 5lbs. It will replace my stock bumper assembly.

Here's a shot of the patch panel i made. I'm about 3/4 of the way from having it completely tacked in. I'll have to grind down the welds after that. This is actually the first of two layers as the factory overlapped several layers of sheetmetal in this area. Bad idea on their part.

It gets pretty nasty underneath this. Keep in mind that this is an area where you have multiple layers of sheetmetal overlapping each other. This is a breeding ground for rust. As you'll see in the next couple of pic's.

In this picture you can see where i installed some supports for the inside of the frame rail. The factory did the same thing with some sheetmetal. It was too rusted to save so i went this route. The pieces on the ends are where the k- member bolts pass through.
